City of Tukwila <br />City Council Community Services & Safety Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 14, 2020 - 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: Kate Kruller, Chair; Thomas McLeod, Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson <br />Staff Present: <br />David Cline, Jay Wittwer, Bruce Linton, Laurel Humphrey <br />Chair Kruller called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Interlocal Agreement & Memorandum of Understanding: PSERN <br />Police & Fire are seeking Council approval of an Interlocal Agreement creating the new Puget <br />Sound Emergency Radio Network (PSERN) agency and an associated Memorandum of <br />Understanding that designates how the Valley Com member cities will designate their member <br />on the PSERN Board of Directors. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to September 14, 2020 Committee of the Whole. <br />B. 2020 2nd Quarter Fire Department Report <br />Staff provided the additional information requested at the last Committee meeting. <br />Item(s) requiring follow up: <br />• Provide more easily understandable information about performance <br />• Provide written information about the City's firewatch policy and practice <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Discussion only. <br />C. Tukwila Police Use -of -Force Policy Review <br />Chief Linton presented responses to questions posed by the Community Oriented Policing <br />Citizen's Advisory Board (COPCAB) reading the Department's Use of Force policy review. <br />Item(s) requiring follow up: <br />Return to Committee to finish going over the responses. <br />II.
