Call to Order, Roll Call & Introduction of Guests: Chair Sheila Coppola called the meeting to order at <br />6:07pm. <br />Attendance: <br />Commission Members Present: Pinky Estell, Sheila Coppola, Jaleh Sadravi, Helen Enguerra, Shawn Belyea, <br />Cynthia Chesak and Dylan Mahler <br />Commission Members Absent: Trisha Gilmore <br />Staff: Tracy Gallaway <br />2. Approval of Agenda: Cynthia Chesak to accept the agenda. Pinky Estell seconded the motion. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />3. Approval of Minutes: Helen Enguerra moved to accept the minutes for 7.22.20 and 8.12.20 meetings. <br />Cynthia Chesak seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />4. Unfinished Business: <br />a. Summer Arts Engagement Ideas <br />i. Art Scavenger Hunt — Arts commissioners discussed developing the art scavenger hunt <br />for 2021. Shawn Belyea will create a project plan with timeline that will be used for <br />developing a task list and timeline for this event. <br />ii. Art in the Parks —Tracy Gallaway and Pinky Estell have a meeting scheduled with Tara <br />Fisher from Ignition NW to discuss opportunities for temporary installations in Tukwila <br />Parks. <br />b. Southcenter District Art —Tracy Gallaway shared that this project is moving forward. Sidewalk <br />art developed by artist Beth Gahan will be installed along Baker Blvd in late September. Tracy <br />will inform the Arts Commissioners about the specific installation date in case they would like to <br />be present to assist with the install or observe the process. <br />5. New Business: <br />a. Budget — 2020 Spending; 2021-2022 Proposed Budget discussion: Tracy Gallaway shared that <br />there are still 2020 funds available to support art implementation. Funds will be used to <br />support art installations in Tukwila parks. For 2021-2022 the budget has been reduced by 20%. <br />
