City of <br />.: City Council Community Services & Safety Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 1, 2021- 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson, Chair; De'Sean Quinn, Kate Kruller <br />Staff Present: Eric Drever, Jay Wittwer, Rachel Bianchi, Nate Robinson, Tracy Gallaway, <br />Stacy Hansen, Trish Kinlow, Kim Walden, Laurel Humphrey <br />Chair Delostrinos Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Minor Home Repair Program Contract <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of a contract with King County for $100,000 in Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to be distributed between Tukwila, Covington, Des <br />Moines and SeaTac for the Minor Home Repair Program. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to February 8, 2021 Regular Consent Agenda <br />B. 2020 4t" Quarter Police Department Report <br />Staff presented the report. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Discussion only. <br />C. Community Oriented Policing Citizens Advisory Board (COPCAB) Community Survey <br />Committee members and staff discussed the draft survey which will allow participants to <br />provide information on police services. COPCAP has some final decisions to make before the <br />survey is launched at the end of March. <br />Item(s) needing follow up: <br />Councilmember suggested looking into a technology fix to prevent abuse/spam, as well as a <br />freeform question asking, "is there anything else you would like us to know?" Councilmember <br />Kruller requested to know the number of questions in the survey. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Discussion only. <br />
