City of Tukwila <br />City Council Community Services & Safety Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 5, 2021- 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: <br />Staff Present: <br />Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson, Chair; De'Sean Quinn, Zak Idan <br />David Cline, Eric Dreyer, Jay Wittwer, Norm Golden, James Booth, Vicky <br />Carlsen, Laurel Humphrey, Jake Berry <br />Chair Delostrinos Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. CPSM Report & Fire Department Sustainability Working Group <br />Staff briefed the Committee on a plan to set up a stakeholder group called the Fire Financial <br />Advisory Coalition to work through the CPSM recommendations toward a goal of providing <br />high quality and financially sustainable fire services. This group will also include community <br />participation via an application and appointment process. <br />Items(s) requiring follow-up: <br />• Document in Committee which recommendations are being removed for consideration <br />due to labor considerations or other factors. <br />• Edit list of Team Objectives in the draft Charter by adding "Shared Values" and changing <br />Data Driven to Data Informed Analysis. <br />• Add concept of "co -creative space," add lnguage around innovation and creativity to draft <br />Charter. <br />• Consider creating a short video presentation to help with community recruitment. <br />• Councilmember Delostrinos Johnson is interested in participating. <br />• Facilitate a meeting culture that honors all group member perspectives <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Return to Committee. <br />II.
