2 <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMO <br />Page 2 <br />• Tennis Court Improvements: The tennis courts at Tukwila Park and Crystal Springs have <br />needed attention for several years. Staff will install pickleball court lines so the courts can be <br />used for either pickleball or tennis. Attachment B is a contract with Mid Pac Construction Inc. <br />in the amount of $53,000. The contract will provide: Resurfacing, crack repair, striping for <br />tennis and pickleball, new nets and fence repairs. <br />• Bicycle Safety Course: A safety course will be installed at Crestview Park for new bike riders <br />to learn bicycle safety and rules of the road. The course will be installed in the northwest <br />corner of the park near the existing basketball court. Staff will be installing this course in- <br />house. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />2021 park improvement projects do not utilize general funds and come from a combination of King <br />County Levy funds and Park Impact Fees. <br />Attachment A: Contract with Security Lines US for Park Security Cameras <br />Attachment B: Contract with Mid Pac Construction Inc. for Tennis Court <br />Repairs and Improvements. <br />Total <br />$143,456 <br />$53,000 <br />$196,456 <br />RECOM MENDATION <br />Staff is seeking approval to move forward with improvements by authorizing the Mayor to <br />to execute the contract (Attachment A) with Security Lines US for $143,456 for the installation of <br />security cameras at the Tukwila Parks, and the contract (Attachment B) with Mid Pac Construction <br />Inc. for $53,000 for tennis court improvements at Tukwila Park and Crystal Springs Park. <br />ATTACH MENTS <br />A.
