City of <br />.: City Council Community Services & Safety Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 17,2021 - 5:30 p.m. -Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson, Chair; De'Sean Quinn, Kate Kruller <br />Staff Present: David Cline, Rachel Bianchi, Norm Golden, Nate Robinson, Eric Drever, <br />Eric Lund, Ben Hayman, Jay Wittwer, Hari Ponnekanti, Laurel Humphrey <br />Guests: Steve Goldblatt, Justine Kim, Aaron Walls <br />Chair Delostrinos Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Prosecution Services <br />Chief Drever and the City's contracted Prosecutor, Aaron Walls, reviewed the process from the <br />point of police contact to the conclusion of prosecution. <br />Items(s) requiring follow-up: <br />• Provide information on diversion programs and options. <br />Present the information to the Community Oriented Policing Citizen's Advisory Board <br />(COPCAB) <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Discussion only. <br />B. Service Level Agreement with Valley Communications <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of a Service Level Agreement with Valley Communications <br />that clarifies expectations of dispatchers, call receivers and officers. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to May 24, 2021 Committee of the Whole. <br />C. Shielz Obletz Johnsen Project Management Services <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of contract amendments with Shiels Obletz Johnsen for <br />project management services for the Public Works Tenant Improvements and the Teen and <br />Senior Center Projects. The amendment for the Public Works project is $127,617.65 and the <br />Teen and Senior Center is $94,380 (factoring in 50K pro bono), and both are within approved <br />project budgets. <br />Items(s) requiring follow-up: <br />Provide additional clarity on how amendments fit within project budgets. <br />Committee Recommendation: <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to May 24, 2021 Committee of the Whole. <br />
