Minnie Dhaliwal <br />From: anetiaseattle @comcast.net <br />Sent: Tuesday, February 21, 2012 12:23 PM <br />To: Minnie Dhaliwal <br />Subject: Fwd: Public Hearing on February 23, 2012 Planning Commission revising zoning <br />districts <br />Categories: Red Category <br />Subject: Public Hearing on February 23, 2012 Planning Commission revising zoning districts <br />Dear Minnie Dhaliwal, <br />Per our conversation the other day, I am sending you this email due to the fact I am out of the country <br />and cannot attend the Meeting on February 23, 2012. <br />I am extremely worried about the Planning Commission revising the allowed uses in my building's <br />zoning district. <br />My building located at 4712 S. 134th St. Tukwila, WA, currently has two of my renters. <br />A Roofing company in the upper part of my building and a business that repairs and paints damaged <br />commercial <br />vehicles in the lower part of my building. <br />Prior to renting out my building I owned and operated a machine shop for 30 years which <br />manufactured airplane parts. <br />When I sold my business I left the electrical wiring in place, which is probably worth $100,000.00 <br />dollars. <br />I did this so if I were to lose my renters, I would have the option to set up another machine shop. <br />It would seem to me if this proposed zoning revision is approved, my building and other business <br />near mine, will become <br />worth a lot less money and will keep many more people from getting jobs and could possible created <br />immediate job losses. <br />There used to be 6 houses behind my building and 6 houses to the east of my building. When Sound <br />Transit came <br />through, they bought those houses and demolished all them. Also the light rail makes more noise <br />than my machine shop <br />ever did. All up and down 134th St. there are manufactuing Business's. I would appreciate and <br />strongly recommend <br />48 1 <br />
