City of Tukwila <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Community Service and Safety Committee <br />FROM: Eric Lund, Deputy Police Chief <br />CC: Mayor Allan Ekberg <br />City Administrator David Cline <br />DATE: September 28, 2021 <br />SUBJECT: Park Users/Security <br />ISSUE <br />Residents are concerned about park users not adhering to park rules and are questioning the <br />lack of enforcement. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Residents near Foster Park are concerned about the activity by groups. Specifically, the <br />complaints are about loud music, illegal parking, garbage and littering, and open flames. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Group will discuss park rules, rentals, city noise ordinance, and seeks direction from the council <br />on enforcement. The group will also discuss the future collaboration between P&R and PD. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />No financial impact. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Information Only. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Eff <br />
