City of Tukwila <br />6200 Southcenter Blvd. <br />Tukwila, WA 98188 <br />Approval of Minutes of <br />December 10, 2021 <br />Jean moved approval. Jim <br />seconded. Motion passed. <br />None <br />General Business <br />• 2022 Tourism Workplan <br />• Six Year Financial Plan <br />Brandon presented the City's <br />tourism workplan for 2022 and <br />six-year financial plan. Copies <br />were distributed with the <br />agenda. <br />Jean expressed that she likes <br />seeing the financial plan as the <br />LTAC considers funding <br />requests as a way to see how <br />requests fit the overall <br />strategy. <br />Jim asked about lodging tax <br />revenues and shared his <br />market perspective on growth <br />estimates of city lodging tax. <br />Mark described the growth in <br />the room nights the SSRTA is <br />seeing. <br />Ben mentioned he anticipates <br />that Starfire will start hosting <br />traveling teams this summer. <br />Brandon will review the most <br />current lodging tax revenues <br />and will revise the projection <br />for the next meeting. <br />Brandon will add a Starfire <br />sponsorship to the workplan. <br />Pending Funding Requests <br />• Experience Tukwila <br />Brandon presented a request <br />from the City of Tukwila <br />seeking $140,000 to continue <br />the Experience Tukwila <br />branding and marketing <br />program.
