I
support treating these corrections as scrivener's errors, and Laurel confirmed that this is
consistent with the Council's intent.
For subparagraph B below, please note also the need to make plural the references at the
end, specifically revise as follows: " ... each calendar year as -floating holidays, and the City
must grant such -days, provided ..." It seems that subparagraph B.1 should be pluralized
also. Appreciate your attention to detail making all of the needed corrections.
-Kari
Kairii Il_. °Saind
Attorney
Ogden Murphy Wallace, PULE
901 Fifth Avenue, Suite 3500 1 Seattle, WA 98164
Direct: 206.447.2250 1 Fax: 206.447.0215
ksand@omwlaw.com 1 www.omwlaw.com
Notice: Emails and attachments may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public Records
Act (chapter 42.56 RCW).
From: Barbara Saxton <Barbara.Saxton@TukwilaWA.gov>
Sent: Friday, April 22, 2022 4:08 PM
To: Kari Sand <Kari.Sand@TukwilaWA.gov>
Cc: Christy O'Flaherty<Christy.OFlaherty@TukwilaWA.gov>; Andy Youn
<Andy.Youn@TukwilaWA.gov>; Rachel Bianchi <Rachel.Bianchi@TukwilaWA.gov>
Subject: Potential Scrivener's Error?
Hi Kari. During review of the codification of Ordinance No. 2670 (about adding Juneteenth as a legal
holiday), a question arose about changes needed in subparagraphs B and C regarding having 2
floating holidays (instead of 1). The ordinance addressed the clarification in subparagraph A, with an
oversight on updating the language in subparagraphs B and C. See below.
Please advise if this oversight can be corrected as a Scrivener's Error. Thank you, Kari.
