Spice Bridge Community Art Nights Grant Proposal Request (informational only until formal <br />request by Food Innovation Network) <br />• Michael May shared the proposal with the group. <br />■ Cynthia Chesak mentioned it is a wonderful diverse and community-based <br />organization. Pinky agreed with the sentiment. <br />■ The group will delay action until the Food Innovation Network makes a formal <br />request for funds. <br />7. Other (10 min) <br />a. Strategic Planning status <br />• Michael May led the commissioners in a small exercise to prepare the commission for <br />work on a Strategic Plan. The following questions were posed (reflecting on the past two <br />years): <br />■ What are specific things we have accomplished? <br />■ Where are you proud? <br />■ Where are you disappointed? <br />■ What should we be doing next? <br />■ Cynthia Chesak commented that the pandemic really slowed down the <br />work of the commission to a standstill. <br />• She said this is a good time to reflect on what we may or may <br />not want to do. For example, do we want to revive the annual Art <br />Show in the Social Hall? <br />o However, it is important to tap into the diversity of our <br />community to get a good mix, she said. <br />o Pinky Estell agreed and added that it is important to go <br />seek out new artists from their specific communities.
