City of Tukwila <br />City Council Finance & Governance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 9, 2022 - 5:30 p.m. - Electronic Meeting due to COVID-19 Emergency <br />Councilmembers Present: <br />Staff Present: <br />De'Sean Quinn, Chair; Kate Kruller, Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson <br />Rachel Bianchi, Laurel Humphrey, Niesha Fort -Brooks, David <br />Rosen, Vicky Carlsen, Tony Cullerton, Hari Ponnekanti, Nora <br />Gierloff <br />Chair Quinn called the meeting to order. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Discussion on Remote Attendance At Council Meetings <br />Staff presented a proposed amendment to the City Council Rules of Procedure to address <br />remote attendance in times of non -emergency. Committee members discussed the changes <br />as well as the merits of attending or not attending virtually while away on other business. <br />Item(s) for follow-up: <br />• Add language addressing pandemic related quarantine <br />• Present options for COW discussion. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Forward to Committee of the Whole. <br />B. Budget Outreach <br />Staff shared a draft presentation to be shared with the community as well as demonstrated <br />the "Balancing Act" tool.
