• Community survey: <br />How long to release the survey for? Indefinite amount of time, or finite time period? <br />1. What is the goal of the survey? <br />a. Citizens go online to give feedback as to how PD is doing, how officers are interacting with <br />the public. Need to find out what the cost structure is for responses. Chief will follow up <br />with the Mayor's office. <br />2. How to establish assessment of data: <br />a. Raw data downloaded to COPCAB, need a mechanism to ensure security of data <br />b. Need to assure the public that the PD has no access to IP addresses <br />c. Time Issue: add disclaimer that is an immediate response is needed, how to file a complaint <br />or ask for a response <br />d. How often can we get the information from responses? <br />e. What kind of questions — combo of multiple choice and essay <br />f. Add an extra link to direct serious issues <br />g. Have HR department review the survey. Can city attorneys review it as well? <br />h. Can it be taken multiple times by same person? Need a way to vet repeat entries, is there a <br />way to block repeats from same IP address without tracking the IP address? <br />i. Add segment for people to leave contact information if a response is wanted <br />j. How will we be sure the information is seen in a timely manner? <br />k. Interim Chief Dreyer will run through the survey and get translations <br />1. Old surveys to look at? <br />• Good of the order <br />Jan — Donation center/thrift shop at Riverton Park United Methodist Church. She gave an overview of <br />the free "thrift shop" that has continued since the apartment fire in September. School district families <br />as well as community members have been served. How to get the word out to officers? Jan and Katrina <br />will draft a summary. <br />Katrina - Does the graffiti seen in various areas in Tukwila represent a gang issue, or is it more likely <br />random taggers? How does the city respond to reduce the ugliness of graffiti on properties? <br />a. The city will team with TPD and Public works. Sergeant Anderson is working on this. <br />b. It appears that groups are doing it for art, rather than gangs, in the business core. <br />c. Soreno (sp?) — VLS — one person or a small group. Not aware of any major territory disputes. <br />d. Hasn't been a measurable uptick. <br />e. The goal is to be quick in removing or painting over graffiti so that taggers get no traction since their <br />goal is to have their work seen. <br />Dumping in Tukwila — does not appear to be Tukwila residents who are leaving piles of garbage. <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:48pm. <br />
