City of Tukwila <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />Department of Community Development - Nora Gierloff, AICP, Director <br />CITY OF TUKWILA <br />PLANNING COMMISSION (PC) <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />MINUTES <br />Date: May 26, 2022 <br />Time: 6:30 PM <br />Location: Virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams <br />Protocol: Max Baker, AICP, Development Supervisor, Department of Community <br />Development (DCD) explained the protocol for the virtual meeting as well as <br />public hearing procedures. <br />The PC Secretary took roll call. <br />Present: Chair Karen Simmons; Vice Chair Apneet Sidhu; Commissioners <br />Louise Strander, Sharon Mann, and Dennis Martinez <br />Excused <br />Absent: Commissioner Alexandria Teague <br />Staff: <br />DCD Director Nora Gierloff, AICP; Development Supervisor Max Baker, AICP; <br />Long Range Planning Manager Nancy Eklund, AICP; and PC Secretary Wynetta <br />Bivens <br />Chair Simmons called the public hearing to order. <br />Commissioner Martinez moved for Commissioner Sidhu to assume the vacated Vice -Chair <br />position effective immediately, Commissioner Strander seconded the motion. All <br />were in favor. <br />Adopt <br />Minutes: Commissioner Mann requested that the PC Secretary review the 4/28/22 <br />recording to confirm the accuracy of the transcribed final motion in the minutes. <br />PC agreed the minutes would be adopted at the June meeting. <br />Upon review of the recording - it was determined that the minutes were accurate <br />as presented. <br />Chair Simmons opened the public hearing for: <br />CASE NUMBERS: N/A <br />PURPOSE: The 2022 Zoning Code Housekeeping Amendments <br />LOCATION: Citywide <br />Chair Simmons swore in persons wishing to speak. <br />Tukwila City Hall • 6200 Southcenter Boulevard = Tukwila, WA 98188 • 206-433-1800 • Website: TukwilaWA.gov <br />
