BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Solid Waste Contract Award <br />Staff provided an overview of a recommendation to award to award a contract to Recology for <br />the provision of solid waste services for November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2033. <br />Item(s) for follow-up: <br />• Make scoring details available to Council and the public <br />Committee Recommendation <br />No recommendation. Forward to August 22, 2022 Committee of the Whole. <br />B. Interlocal Agreement: Duwamish Basin Steward <br />Staff is seeking Council approval to sign an interlocal agreement with King County, the City of <br />Seattle, and the Port of Seattle to support a new Duwamish Basin Steward position. Tukwila <br />will contribute 12% of the cost which is available from Surface Water Funds. <br />Item(s) for follow-up: <br />• Provide detail on position's worksite and hiring process <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to August 22, 2022 Special Consent Agenda. <br />C. Consultant Agreement: S. 131St Place Drainage Improvement Project <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of a contract with PACE Engineers in the amount of <br />$371,610.00 for engineering and design of the project. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to August 22, 2022 Special Consent Agenda. <br />D. Contract Amendment: Macadam Road South Water Upgrade & Sidewalk Improvements <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 22-015 with Laser <br />Underground & Earthworks, Inc. in the amount of $300,000 for additional construction costs <br />caused by flagging needs, alternate schedule, and out of scope work. <br />
