<br />*Activities and Enrichment:
<br />-Enrichment Classes provide a variety options including african drumming, martial arts, crafts,
<br />drama camp, & sports clinics.
<br />-After School Activities Program (ASAP) provides safe childcare, homework help, educational
<br />activities, high and low energy games, art & crafts, STEM activities, Social and Emotional Learning
<br />projects, free play. Some activities were aided through partnerships with Museum of Flight,
<br />Aviation High School, Nature Vision, and the Tukwila Library.
<br />*Restoring ASAP and Enrichment Classes programming in 2021 resulted in:
<br />-40 initial participants September to December 2021.
<br />-Participation significantly increased January to June 2022 at 4,221
<br />-For comparison, pre -pandemic January to June 2019 participation was 6,261
<br />-Numbers clear show that students and parents greatly value the restored programming.
<br />*Preschool programming was expanded in April 2022 to address the negative pandemic impact
<br />on school readiness.
<br />*Due to staff shortages, Recreation was unable to restore Before School, Fall Carnival, or Winter
<br />Break programming.

<br />rehabilitation.
<br />b. Lower Foster Field was not rented out in 2019 due to being used as staging area for construction that was
<br />taking place at the time.
<br />c. In 2021 the flat usage fee charged to youth sports organizations throughout the area (for certain hours of
<br />usage) was increased from $1,000 to $1,500.
