City of Tukwila <br />City Council Finance & Governance Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 08, 2022 - 5:30 p.m. - Hybrid Meeting; Duwamish Conference Room & MS Teams <br />Councilmembers Present: <br />Staff Present: <br />Guests: <br />De'Sean Quinn, Chair; Kate Kruller Thomas McLeod <br />Rachel Bianchi, Tony Cullerton, Laurel Humphrey, Cody Lee Gray, <br />Hari Ponnekanti, Griffin Lerner, Dale Rock, <br />Navdeep Singh, Arta Baharmast, Westfield Southcenter <br />Chair Quinn called the meeting to order. <br />I. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. City Hall Siding Repairs <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of a contract with Pacific Exteriors LLC in the amount of <br />$113,499.34 to repair siding on the south side of City Hall. <br />Item(s) for follow-up: <br />• Return with additional information about the condition of the siding. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval pending additional information. Forward to August 15, 2022 Regular <br />Meeting <br />B. City Council Compensation <br />Staff is seeking Committee direction on a Council compensation proposal for 2024 and <br />beyond. The Committee agreed to $1450 per month for positions 2, 4, and 6 that would take <br />effect in 2024 and positions 1, 3, 5 and 7 to take effect in 2026. An ordinance will be prepared <br />to reflect this. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Staff stated that a draft naming policy is being prepared per previous Committee direction. <br />Mr. Singh and Mr. Baharmast addressed the Committee about a proposal to cost share 2 police <br />officers dedicated to Westfield Southcenter. <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:06 p.m. <br />Committee Chair Approval <br />Minutes by LH <br />
