City of Tukwila <br />City Council Planning & Community Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December5, 2022 - 5:30 p.m. - Hybrid Meeting; Hazelnut Conference Room & MS Teams <br />Councilmembers Present: Cynthia Delostrinos Johnson, Chair; De'Sean Quinn, Thomas McLeod <br />Staff Present: Derek Speck, Nora Gierloff <br />Guests: Elliot Weiss & Jeff Raker, Community Attributes, Inc. <br />Chair Delostrinos Johnson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Economic Development Plan Vision and Goals <br />Staff presented the draft vision and goals. Committee members discussed ideas including the <br />responsibility of the business community toward partnership and addressing the structural <br />imbalance of the budget, investment in shared value of diversity, resiliency and consistency, <br />being inviting to businesses from underrepresented communities, safety, labor conditions, <br />and using language around inclusion and belonging. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Discussion only. Return to Committee in 2023. <br />11. MISCELLANEOUS <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m. <br />CDJ Committee Chair Approval <br />
