• Flexible sprinkler hose bends shall not exceed the maximum radius permitted by <br />the listing. <br />• Provide sprinkler protection beneath all obstructions greater than 4 ft. in width. <br />• Extend sprinkler protection to all combustible concealed spaces. <br />• Comply with NFPA 13 obstruction tables. <br />• All valves controlling the water supply for automatic sprinkler systems and <br />waterflow switches on all sprinkler systems shall be electrically supervised. <br />• All interior control valves shall be readily accessible, labeled and located not <br />more than 6 ft. above the floor. <br />• Comply with obstructed/non-obstructed construction rules for sprinkler head <br />placement. <br />• Sprinkler heads spaced closer than 6 ft. apart must be baffled. <br />• Modifications involving 20 or more sprinkler heads require hydrostatic test and <br />system isolation if necessary. <br />• For dry pipe and double interlock preaction systems in addition to the standard <br />hydrostatic test, an air pressure leakage test at 40 psi shall be conducted for 24 <br />hours. Any leakage that results in a loss of pressure in excess of 1.5 psi for the <br />24 hours shall be corrected.
