The commission advises policymakers; advocating and promoting for initiatives <br />that dismantle systemic racial, gender, and economic inequities, to create and <br />strengthen a sense of belonging for all community members. <br />• Commissioners discussed the planning phases for the leadership training with the <br />goal to bring on a guest facilitator to work with the commission no later than May <br />or June of 2021. <br />• The Commission reviewed the ESJ youth recruitment flier and provided two <br />additional recommendation. Once added, City staff can begin to the outreach <br />process in the middle of March 2021. <br />• The Commissioners brainstormed ideas on the upcoming Juneteenth event.
