City of Tukwila <br />City Council Planning & Community Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 20, 2023 - 5:30 p.m. - Hybrid Meeting; Hazelnut Conference Room & MS Teams <br />Councilmembers Present: Kathy Hougardy, Chair; De'Sean Quinn, Thomas McLeod <br />Staff Present: Rachel Bianchi, Nora Gierloff, Nancy Eklund, Laurel Humphrey, Stacy <br />Hansen <br />Chair Hougardy called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Consultant Contract: Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Staff is seeking Council approval of a grant -funded contract with Makers -Architecture, <br />Planning and Urban Design, LLC in the amount of $125,000 for services in support of the <br />Comprehensive Plan update. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval pending completed scope. Forward to April 3, 2023 Regular Meeting. <br />B. Resolution: Allocation of Senate House Bill 1406 Funding <br />Staff is seeking Council direction on how 1406 funds should be split between rental <br />assistance and pooling with SKHHP for the affordable housing fund. Staff has prepared a <br />resolution proposing an allocation of 70% to SKHHP and the retention of 30% for rental <br />assistance. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Unanimous approval. Forward to March 27, 2023 Committee of the Whole. <br />11. MISCELLANEOUS <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:22 p.m. <br />"Committee Chair Approval <br />
