PARTM <br />COPCAB Minutes <br />January 12, 2023 <br />6:30pm — 8:OOpm <br />Hybrid Meeting: <br />In person in the Justice Center EOC conference room <br />or virtually via Microsoft Teams: CVuk here to join the meetung <br />Or call 253-292-9750 <br />Conference ID: 756 658 204# <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />Eric Dreyer, Chief of Police <br />Members present: Katrina Dohn, Charlee Sebring, John Lindsay, Roger Arnold, Jan Bolerjack <br />Staff present: Chief Eric Dreyer, Deputy Chief Eric Lund, Brooke Lamothe <br />Guest: Mr. Sherlock <br />Meeting started at 6:30pm <br />Presentation — Derek Speck and Brandon Miles - Gathering community input for City economic development <br />plan. <br />Approval of minutes: No minutes to approve as no minutes were taken during the November 2022 meeting and <br />the December meeting was cancelled. <br />Chief's Updates: <br />• Staffing Roster shared — more positive level of staffing due to extra effort on recruitment <br />• Had first PD Town Hall <br />• City Budget passed with 20% increase for PD. Allows to fill previously frozen positions and <br />inflation. Recruitment budget. Take home cars. <br />• Goals for 2023 (shared with PD at town hall) — staffing, officer wellbeing, internal communication <br />effectiveness, coverage of staffing absences with some shift adjustments, grow community <br />engagement with Brooke, reestablishing SRO's, continuing digitalization of records, begin work <br />on 5 -year plan <br />• Highlights — Crime was down a bit over the holidays.
