City of Tukwila <br />City Council Transportation & Infrastructure Services Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 21, 2023 5:30 p.m. - Hybrid Meeting; Duwamish Conference Room & MS Teams <br />Councilmembers Present: Tosh Sharp, Chair; Kate Kruller, Mohamed Abdi <br />Staff Present: David Cline, Hari Ponnekanti, Josh Hartley, Laurel Humphrey, Pete Mayer <br />I. PRESENTATIONS <br />II. BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. 42nd Avenue South/Allentown Roadside Barrier Update <br />Committee members and staff discussed the issue of roadside barriers along the Duwamish <br />River in Allentown, which is not currently funded as a standalone capital project. The <br />Committee agreed they would like more information about reviving the project as a priority <br />and agreed to seek full Council consensus to direct staff resources toward determining costs <br />and options. <br />Item(s) for follow-up: <br />Provide examples of different barrier types. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Discussion only. Forward to August 28, 2023 Committee of the Whole. <br />Miscellaneous <br />Staff mentioned that the City is currently negotiating a franchise agreement with Valley View Sewer <br />District and is pursuing similar terms as the recent agreements with Water District 125 and Highline <br />Water District. <br />Staff mentioned a current effort to assess facility security needs citywide. <br />Chair Sharp inquired about the current construction in Cascade View, which is part of the annual <br />overlay program. <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:21 p.m. <br />TS <br />Committee Chair Approval <br />Minutes by LH <br />
