Washington <br />o r� <br />Resolution No. % B o <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, EXPRESSING SINCERE GRATITUDE <br />TO KATE KRULLER FOR HER SERVICE AS A COUNCILMEMBER. <br />WHEREAS, Kate Kruller was first elected to the City Council in 2011 and went on to serve three <br />consecutive terms totaling 12 years; and <br />WHEREAS, Kate has participated on and chaired numerous City Council committees and served as <br />Council President in 2015 and 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, Kate has been a strong advocate for Tukwila in local, regional and national <br />organizations, including longstanding associations with Sound Cities Association, Association of <br />Washington Cities, and National League of Cities, recently serving as Chair of the Transportation and <br />Infrastructure Services Federal Advocacy Committee and on the Board of Directors; and <br />WHEREAS, Kate is known for her empathetic devotion to the city and its residents, both human and <br />canine, and her avid fandom of local sports teams; and <br />WHEREAS, Kate will be greatly missed for her spirited leadership and creative problem -solving; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, HEREBY <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />On behalf of the entire Tukwila community, the Mayor and Councilmembers express their sincere <br />thanks to Kate Kruller for her 12 years of dedicated service as a City of Tukwila Councilmember. <br />PASSED BY TH C TY COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON, at a Special <br />Meeting thereof this 1 1 -t "- day of e (.Q,(4" e v , 2023. <br />Allan Ekberg, Mayor <br />ATTEST/AUTHENTICATED: <br />Christy O'Fiaherty, MMC, City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FOR BY: <br />Office of the City Attorney <br />Filed with the City Clerk: <br />Passed by the City Council: 12 - It -23 <br />Resolution Number: 2A9j <br />Delostrinos Johnson, Council Preside <br />Mohamed Abdi <br />
