Jo Anderson talked about efforts in the City around Inclusion and Engagement. <br />2. Approval Of 3/14/24 Minutes - It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes. <br />Minutes were approved pending a change in attendance to add Christine Neuffer. <br />3. Community Engagement Coordinator's Report <br />a. Citizens Academy is going well. <br />b. Flock — There are 26 cameras, but there are 3 privately owned cameras in the city. <br />i. Question about who has access to the information from Flock <br />c. Newly formed police team, Special Emphasis Unit, focusing on hot spots <br />d. Working on a Blockwatch for Mariblu <br />4. Chief's Updates <br />a. Staffing — almost fully filled. <br />b. Special Emphasis Unit — Drug/Vice plus Community Policing — focusing on hot <br />spots such as organized retail theft, just helped to book the largest organized retail <br />theft perpetrator on the west coast. <br />5. SPIDR Report <br />a. Positive stats on people's satisfaction with the department and responses <br />6. Word On The Street <br />a. Concern about safety at Riverton Park United Methodist Church, frequent first <br />responder incidents <br />b. Question about a 'code red' system — could there be a criteria for when police <br />post news to the public about events happening in the area? <br />c. Asylee camp discussion — updates on city website, concerns about trash <br />7.
