Thomas McLeod, Mayor <br />Parks & Recreation Department -- Pete Mayer, Director <br />INFORMATIONAL MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Community Services & Safety Committee <br />CC: Thomas McLeod, City of Tukwila Mayor <br />FROM: Kris Kelly, Parks & Recreation Director <br />BY: David Rosen, Parks & Recreation Analyst <br />DATE: May 5, 2025 <br />SUBJECT: Tukwila Park Commission 2025 Spring Update <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Tukwila Parks & Recreation Department, as the liaison department to the Tukwila Park <br />Commission, intends to update the Community Services and Safety Committee on the commission's <br />current operations, work planning, projects, upcoming events and programming, as well as highlights of <br />work done so far in Fiscal Year 2025 and other fiscal years past. <br />The staff member assigned to the Tukwila Arts Commission as the city liaison is Matthew Austin, the <br />Tukwila Parks & Recreation Department's Parks Maintenance & Operations Superintendent. <br />DISCUSSION <br />2025 highlights will be shared from across Parks & Recreation's operations as they pertain to parks <br />operations, maintenance, capital projects, and other outreach efforts.
