City of Tukwila <br />City Council Planning & Community Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 9, 2025, 5:30 p.m. - Hybrid Meeting; City Council Conference Room & MS Teams <br />Councilmembers Present: Hannah Hedrick, Chair; Verna Seal <br />Staff Present: Nora Gierloff, Neil Tabor, Laurel Humphrey, Isaac Gloor <br />Guest: Claire Vanessa Goodwin, Executive Manager, SKHHP <br />Chair Hedrick called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />BUSINESS AGENDA <br />A. Resolution: South King Housing & Homelessness Partners 2026 Work Plan/Budget <br />Staff is seeking approval of the annual resolution to adopt SKH HP's work plan and budget. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Majority approval. Forward to June 16, 2025 Regular Consent Agenda. <br />B. Middle Housing, Accessory Dwelling Unit and Objective Design Standards Legislation <br />Staff is seeking approval of ordinances to add a new Community Residential Zone, amend <br />parking regulations in residential zones, and update Titles 17 and 18 in compliance with the <br />state's new "Middle Housing" requirements. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Majority Approval. Forward to June 9, 2025 Committee of the Whole <br />C. Co -Living Housing and Zoning Code Amendment Legislation <br />Staff updated the Committee on two additional items being added to the Planning <br />Commission's workplan. <br />Committee Recommendation <br />Forward to Planning Commission. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Chair Hedrick requested a status update on cannabis zoning and tenant protections. Staff intends <br />to bring a cannabis discussion to the July PCD meeting, and can be prepared to discuss renter <br />protections in July or August depending on agenda balance. <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:02 p.m. <br />HH <br />Committee Chair Approval <br />
