ORDINANCE NO. 6
AN ORDINANCE fixing the salaries and
compensations of officials and employees
of the City of Tukwila, and repealing all
ordinances in conflict herewith.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN
as follows:
Section 1. That the salaries and compensations of the various
officers and employees of the City of Tukwila are hereby set and
fixed as follows for the year 1970.
Treasurer 7,260.00
Clerk Minimum 6,000.00 Maximum 8,000.00
Deputy Clerk 5,000.00 6,600.00
Utilities Clerk 4,500.00 5,000.00
City Supervisor 10,454.00
Field Superintendent 10,062.00
Maintenance Men 7,128.00 8,929.00
McChanid 9,171.00
Chief of Police 10,230.00
Sargent 9,211.00
Patrolmen 7,314.00 8,795.00
Police Matron 5,400.00 6,695.00
Police Clerks 4,500.00 5,115.00
Fire Chief 10,000.00
Firefighters 7,200.00 7,700.00
Extra labor shall be on a sliding scale from $2.00 to $2.75 per
hour for clerical work, $25.00 per shift for patrolmen and $2.00
to $3.00 per hour for maintenance work.
Section 2. Beginning salaries with minimum and maximum amounts
shall be determined by department heads depending on previous
experience and ability.
Section 3. Longevity pay shall be paid employees after 5 years
of service with the City at the following rate: $5.00 per month
for each year of service exceeding 5 years.
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by
law.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this
