ORDINANCE NO. 549 AN ORDINANCE regulating traffic flow
on detour bridge at South 180th and
West Valley Highway and setting
penalties for violation thereof.
WHEREAS, a potentially dangerous condition exists on
the detour bridge crossing the Green River at South 180th and
West Valley Highway, and
WHEREAS, the City Superintendent's office has
recommended certain restrictions be placed on the use of the
bridge as a safety precaution.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Tukwila do ordain as follows:
Speed on said bridge shall not exceed 5 miles per hour.
Total weight of any vehicle traveling on bridge shall
not exceed 20 tons.
These shall be no more than one truck on the bridge at
any one time.
Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon first conviction thereof shall
be fined a basic fine of not less than $25.00 nor more than $50.00;
upon a second conviction thereof, shall be fined a basic fine of
not less thann$50.00 nor more than $100.00; and upon third or
subsequent convictions shall be fined a basic fine of not less
than-$100.00.

Washington this 21st day of April, 1969.
