AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 251,
Section 4-25, Requests for Changes in Zoning
1. WHEREAS, the City Council finds the $25.00 filing fee required in
Section 4-25, Ordinance No. 251, is no longer sufficient to cover the cost
of publications, public hearings, and other related costs of rezone,
NOT THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUKWILA DO ORDAIN
as follows:
Ordinance No. 251, Section 4-25 shall be changed to read: Any request for a
change in zoning of any district or area, or of any boundary lines thereof, as
shown on the zoning maps (as distinguished from a variance`or modification, in
a specific case, of the application of any of the rules or regulations or
provisions of this chapter relating to the use, construction or alteration of
buildings or structures, or to the use of land, because of practical difficulties
or unnecessary hardships, shall be submitted to the City Planning Commission.
The City Planning Commission, upon payment to the City of a $100.00 filing fee,
and after due public notice and hearing, at which parties in interest and citizens
shall have an opportunity to be heard, shall transmit its recommendation thereon
to the Council. The Council, in considering such recou shall give
due public notice of hearing in relation thereto, at which parties in interest
and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard.
