SUBJECT: Preliminary 2011 -2012 Biennial Budget Public Meeting
ISSUE
City Council to receive public input on Preliminary 2011 2012 Biennial Budget
BACKGROUND
The Administration's proposed 2011 -2012 Program and Service Reductions were presented to
the Committee of the Whole and made available to the public on September 27, 2010. The
Preliminary 2011 -2012 Biennial Budget was submitted to the City Council on October 4 and
made available to the public on October 5, 2010. These and other documents related to the
proposed 2011 -2012 budget are available on the City's website (www.ci.tukwila.wa.us) and at
City Hall.
DISCUSSION
Staff will provide a brief overview of the Preliminary Budget, followed by an opportunity for
citizens to comment.
RECOMMENDATION
Information only. The City Council will be discussing the budget at a special Council work
session on October 19, 2010. A Public Hearing is tentatively scheduled for November 22, 2010,
where comments will be accepted from the public. Council action will be required in December.
