The hanger or bracket shall be securely and properly anchored to the mounting surface in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. (NFPA 13) 31: High -piled combustible storage is combustible materials in closely packed piles more than 12 feet in height or combustible materials on pallets or in racks more than 12 feet in height. For certain special- hazard commodities such as rubber tires, plastics, some flammable liquids, idle pallets, etc., the critical pile height may be as low as 6 feet.
