Any new ceiling grid and light fixture installation is required to meet lateral bracing requirements for Seismic Zone 3. 11. Partition walls attached to ceiling grid must be laterally braced if over eight (8) feet in length. 12. Readily accessible access to roof mounted equipment is required. 13. Engineered truss drawings and calculations shall be on site and available to the building inspector for inspection purposes. Please address the following comments. 1. Provide details to show footing size and depth extending below the frost line per UBC Section 2907(a). Frost line depth 12 ". 2. Indicate on the plans the proposed roof line overhang. Set backs to the property line must be measured from the greatest projection, (the deck edge or the eaves). 3. Provide a roof framing plan that will show-the size of framing members, direction of rafters, spacing, etc. 4. Cross section must show the slope of the roof and identify-the elements of the framing materials, (4X4, 2X6, roof materials, etc). Show how the horizontal framing is bearing on the vertical supports. Note the submitted cross section at the left end of the drawing shows a vertical roof support having direct baring on the deck and not to the ground. 5. On the cross section show how the proposed deck and roof are tied to the existing house. 6. All stairs are required to have guardrail and handrails per UBC Sec. 3306. 7.
