RE: Pacific Water Sports Store Relocation — Storage Shed Review

Our office has reviewed the design of the proposed storage shed structure to be located at the new Pacific Water
Sports store at 11011 Tukwila International Boulevard in Tukwila, Washington. Per the building department's
request, we have provided calculations for the lateral support of the building. A similar structure is existing at the
old store and the intent is to salvage as much of the previous structure as possible. The structure is a low
occupancy building.
Based on our review and discussions, the design appears to be adequate for the code specified lateral loads. We
have attached sketches that address some additional requirements relating to connection of the base to the
pavement.

1. Provide spill control and secondary containment per
Uniform Fire Code articles 79 and 80.
2. One or more portable fire extinguishers having a
rating of not less than 20 -B shall be located not less than
10 feet (3048 mm) or more than 50 feet (15240 mm) from any
Class I or II liquid storage area located outside of a
liquid storage room. (UFC 7902.5.11.5.2)
Any overlooked hazardous condition and /or violation of the
adopted Fire or Building Codes does not imply approval of
