Per the building department's request, we have provided calculations for the lateral support of the building. A similar structure is existing at the old store and the intent is to salvage as much of the previous structure as possible. The structure is a low occupancy building. Based on our review and discussions, the design appears to be adequate for the code specified lateral loads. We have attached sketches that address some additional requirements relating to connection of the base to the pavement.
