Automatic shutoff shall be accomplished by interrupting the power source of the air - moving equipment upon detection of smoke In the main return -air duct served by such equipment. Smoke detectors shall be labeled by an approved agency for air -duct installation and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. These devices shall be separately zoned in the alarm panel and local U.L. central station supervision is required. The original structural drawings for this building show that the roof area where the units will be placed is framed with 2x12 at 16" on- center. Double joists are provided around existing openings and at support locations for the 4x6 roof top curbs that support the units. 4x6 blocking is provided under the curb; the blocking and curb are bolted together.
