Corner of S. 140th St. and 53rd Ave. S.) Dear Mr. Robbins, The Public Works Department has reviewed your revised plans dated 3/22/85 and approved them per the following comments: 24 hours prior to beginning the work the contractor shall apply for and obtain the following permits: 1. Curb Cut /Access Permits - (Permit Fee: $25.00) The curb cut onto 53rd Ave. S. shall be provided at a minimum of 10 feet from the south property line and the driveway shall be provided with asphalt with a concrete apron per the City's stan- dard plan at the entrance of the driveway onto 53rd Ave. S. Where this curb cut goes over the existing ditch /culvert system, the culvert shall be provided to extend 3 feet on either side of the ditch and the driveway shall be provided in such a manner that a minimum of 12" of cover over the culvert is provided. If a new culvert is required, this shall be provided in concrete with Class "B" bedding and per the City Inspector's requirements. Finally, a yard drain shall be provided to City standards and piped to the existing public storm drain or ditch system and per the City Inspector's requirements. 2. Sanitary Side Sewer Permit - (Regular Connection Charge: $30.00) Due to the original development on the property, special connec- tion charges have been met. The existing 6' diameter sanitary side sewer may be tapped into providing the following conditions can be met by the new sanitary side sewer: A. . The existing pipe is a minimum of 6" diameter. Mr. James J. Robbins March 28, 1985 Page' 2 B. A minimum of 2% grade thoughout can be provided. C. 12" cover can be provided throughout. D. A minimum of 6" diameter concrete pipe is provided .throughout. Also, cleanouts shall be provided at the exit of the building and all verticle and horizontal bends. The sewer shall be provided in a Class "B" bedding throughout. Finally, the sanitary side sewer shall be a minimum of 10 feet separation from the water service. 3. Water Meter Permits - (3/4" Meter Fee: $650.'00) Due to original development on this property, special connection charges have been met for the development. Water service shall be provided at a minimum of 12" of cover throughout. All materials shall be approved through Public Works Department (call Dave Grage: 433 - 1863). The water service shall be provided with a minimum of 10 feet separation from the sanitary sewer and storm drains. 4. Storm Drainage Permit - (Permit Fee: $25.00) - This storm drainage permit is for applicable new storm drainage in 53rd Avenue South in the public right -of -way and also for the protec- tion.of existing storm drainage to assure City's requirements are met through the construction of the driveway and other related construction activities. The following construction requirements are necessary as part of this development: A. The protection of the existing configuration and function of the existing storm drains, ditch and culvert system in 53rd Avenue South throughout the construction phase. B. If necessary, new storm line extensions under the proposed asphalt /concrete driveway to 53rd Avenue South shall be to the following criteria: (1) 12" minimum cover (2) Concrete pipe of like size of existing concrete pipe in 53rd Avenue South (3) Any new culvert pipe shall be provided and extended 3' beyond the proposed driveway on either side and provided in Class "B" bedding throughout. In addition, if appropriate, a yard drain shall be provided in the driveway and driveway sloped accordingly to pick up drainage and undergrounding it prior to this storm drainage going into the public right -of -way.
