BUILDING OWNER /AUTHORIZED AGENT If the applicant is other than the owner, registered architect/engineer, or contractor licensed
by the State of Washington, a notarized letter from the property owner authorizing the agent to submit this permit
application and obtain the permit will be required as part of this submittal.
VALUATION OF CONSTRUCTION The valuation is for the work covered by this permit and must be filled in by the applicant. This
figure is used for budget reporting purposes only and not to calculate your fees.
EXPIRATION OF PLAN REVIEW Applications for which no permit is issued within 180 days following the date of application shall
expire by limitation. The Building Official may extend the time for action by the applicant for a period not exceeding 180
days upon written request by the applicant as defined in Section 304(d) of the Uniform Mechanical Code (current
edition). No application shall be extended more than once.

Re: Lindal Cedar Homes - mechanical permit application # M94 -0066.
The Lindal Cedar Homes model home building was proposed and approved as, a Group
B, Division 2 occupancy. This served to eliminate various requirements that would not be
appropriate to require of a building that was essentially a commercial showroom.
Consequently, the installation of the heat -pump system will require that various provisions
of the non - residential energy code (NREC) are achieved.
Prior to approval of this application, the following information is required:
1. Provide the manufacturers specification for the proposed heat pump. This
information to include the standard rating conditions and minimum performance rating for
the heat pump. Rating must comply with Table 14 -1 of the NREC. NIFR. SPEC. <OWI iTED

2. Each system shall be provided with at least one temperature control device. Each
zone shall be controlled by individual thermostatic controls responding to temperature
within the zone. At a minimum, each floor of a building shall be considered as a separate

3. Note method of compliance with NREC Sec. 1412.4,( Setback and automatic
shut -off requirements).
4. Duct work which is designed to operate at pressures above 1/2 inch water column
static pressure shall be sealed in accordance with NREC Sec. 1414.1. Indicate on plan
