Hewitt's formulated letter dated December 16, 1966. We are indeed following the same format and procedures set forth by W. Hewitt. Our law, RCIV 19.28, has not been appreciably changed hence we follow the same philosophy regarding inspection of industrial plants such as Boeing. The policy was established for industrial com- plexes that maintain an electrical installation /maintenance department so as to not detain or hinder the use of electrical utilization equip- ment when newly installed or relocated. } We request safe wiring labels (permits) on all installations of new, altered, or relocated services and/or feeders in industrial plants that have a designated electrical department. Further, any electrical work installed by an electrical contractor, in any type occupancy, must be posted with a safe wiring label and the inspection section notified so the installation may be reviewed for code compliance. Although we do not require a safe wiring label for each wiring change in such plants, we still require all electrical installations meet safe wiring procedures as outlined in the National Electrical Code. When our personnel are 'on site' to inspect services or feeders, they will observe other wiring installation methods to assure code compliance. As afore mentioned, RCN' 19.28 has not been changed, however our fee schedule has been increased since the letter was issued to your design group. Enclosed is a new fee schedule from which you may figure an appropriate amount for an intended inspection.
