Chateau color choices let you bring out the beauty of your home. 1 New top -rail design resists warping and blowout. Pre - notched front top rails allow for expansion overlap and help reduce installa- tion time. 2 Removable -panel design lets you store garden tools, lawn furni- ture, and children's toys out of sight — but not out of reach. 3 New panel profile adds strength and provides extra security against wind loads. Extra -wide, 16 -inch panels mean fewer panels to cut — which saves even more instal- lation time. 4 Unique design lets panels self - adjust to ground -level fluctuations due to changes in weather condi- tions. These installation guides also keep panels from snagging on rail fasteners during frost heave, thereby preventing buckling. 5 Special interlocking panels keep the panels secure and the locks hidden so they don't detract from the appearance of your home. 6 Ventilated panels are required to help eliminate moisture buildup and allow for proper air circula- tion. (Check your home's specifi- cations for proper ventilation requirements.) 7 "F" shaped bottom rail design (instead of a narrow "U" shaped channel) provides a stable founda- tion and prevents the channel from buckling. vw 8 And the bottom rail design, with its precut slots for ground spikes or cement screws, allows for ease of installation on concrete or directly on the ground. (Several different component colors are used in photos for enhancement purposes only). ✓ With a tape, measure the perimeter of the home, deck, or hot tub you wish to skirt, making sure to measure the entire perimeter, including bays and porches. ✓ The chart below shows some typical size homes and their corresponding linear measurements. ✓ To determine the average height, first measure the distance between the ground and the bottom of what you're skirting. ✓ Take this measurement at each of the corners and at the cen- ter of each side. ✓ Total all six of these measurements and divide by six to arrive at the average height. The worksheet at the right is helpful. ✓ Next, find that height in the chart below. Scan over to the point under the approximate linear footage of your project. That will be the number of skirting panels you will need to order. ✓ For the top rails, top back rails, and ground channels you'll need, look only in the column under the linear footage that come closest to your project. Then gather your tools and begin the installation! br • 5i4e 1- AeWht.at_tlte eo►eer. .eFir4' Step fow, _,,,41)4 • 4 • 12'x ,x 16 x, 24'x' 21 X Size of Home 50' 55' 60' 65' 70' 60' 65' 70' 80' 60' 65' 70' 80' 60' 65' ' 70' 65' 70' Perimeter (linear measurement) l 120' 130' 140' 150' 160' 144' 158' 162' 182' 148' 162' 166' 188' 154' 174' 180' 182' 192' Height of Skirting (Panel Cut Length) Number of t anels Re t uired 16' -18' 12 13 14 15 15 14 15 16 18 14 16 16 19 16 17 18 18 18 19' - 20' 13 14 15 17 18 16 17 18 20 16 18 18 2211 18 19 20 20 21 ESE Construction Inc. 7189 F &S Grade Rd. The Building Official has reviewed your letter and considered your request to extend the above referenced permits. These permits are replacements for D06 -106, D06 -107, and D06 -108 that were extended and then expired. One extension is permitted for the same work, and this was done on the 2006 permits. Subsequently these current 2008 permits cannot be extended again. If you should have any questions, please contact our office at (206) 431 -3670. Per the International Building Code and/or the International Mechanical Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days. Based on the above, you are hereby advised to: Call the City of Tukwila Inspection Request Line at 206 - 431 -2451 to schedule for the next or fmal inspection. This inspection is intended to determine if substantial work has been accomplished since issuance of the permit or last inspection; or if the project should be considered abandoned. If such determination is made, the Building Code does allow the Building Official to approve one or more extensions of time for additional periods not exceeding 90 days each. Extension requests must be in writing and provide satisfactory reasons why circumstances beyond the applicants control have prevented action from being taken. In the event you do not call for the above inspection and receive an extension prior to 07/29/2008 , your permit will become null and void and any further work on the project will require a new permit and associated fees. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
