Per the International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, Uniform Plumbing Code and /or the National Electric Code, every permit issued by the Building Division under the provisions of these codes shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit has not begun within 180 days from the issuance date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work has begun for a period of 180 days. Please address the following comments in an itemized format with revised plans, specifications and/or other applicable documentation. (GENERAL NOTE) PLAN SUBMITTALS: (Min. size 1 1x17 to maximum size of 24x36; all sheets shall be the same size). (If applicable) Structural Drawings and structural calculations sheets shall be original signed wet stamped, not copied.) 1. The plan provided refers to outdated 1997 UBC codes and California Building codes. Plans shall comply with the current 2006 IBC and refer to local City of Tukwila codes. Revise code references to show current codes with the plans and specifications complying with all the current building codes. 2. Kiosks or groupings thereof and other structures within this vicinity of the mall shall have a minimum 20 foot clearance between Kiosks and structures or 10 feet clearance on each side of this Kiosk. The North corner section of the kiosk is shown to be less than the 10 feet required even though it is 10 feet from the New York Company. Clear space shall be required to be 10 feet from the other structures. Revise plan and kiosk to show the kiosk meeting the correct clearance on all four sides. (IBC 402.10) 3. Plans shall identify type of materials used for the Kiosk i.e. fire retardant treated wood complying with IBC Section 2303.2, foam plastics having maximum heat release rate not greater than 100kW (105 Btu/hr) when tested in accordance with the exhibit booth protocol in UL 1975 and Aluminum Composite Materials (ACM) having flame spread index not more than 25 and smoke - developed index not more than 450 per ASTM E84. Please specify type of materials used for this Kiosk in compliance code requirements indicated above.
