Holmes has been working with Surface Art to complete the work and call for final on permit EL14-0352. As you can see from the email trail they have not been very responsive and waiting until the last hour. Due to the short notice I do not believe I can have the work completed by Monday the 13th. We have the work scheduled to be done Friday the 17th. Would it be possible to extend the permit a few more days and let us get this job wrapped up? Since Monday is a holiday I am hoping that buys us at least one more day. Trust me we are just as anxious as the City is to get this job done. It would cost roughly $500 to finish the project. Assuming we close out the job it would still be $675 for the install to date + the permit fee of about $100. My apologies I was not clear when I said it cost more to cancel. What I meant by that is by closing this job before completion you are still spending the money for a job that never gets finished. Kind of like throwing money away. It makes more sense to finish the project and have something to show for it at the end. Does that make sense? We coordinated with Brad and ran the circuit. There was a small snag when it came to installing the new breaker, and that is we needed to shut the panel off for about 30min. We then rescheduled to come back and do that to which Brad canceled. After that I met Brad and Chris on site to explain exactly what would happen at the panel shut down. They were going to discuss a shutdown day and get back to me. Over the past few months I have sent 2 emails to Brad asking when we could complete this work and have yet to hear back. The City of Tukwila has just sent me a notice that we need to get this permit taken care of by 10/13/14. If the work is completed after that date there will be additional charges to reinstate the permit. Please let me know what you would like to do. My apologies to Brad, I am sure there was not deliberate attempt to avoid the situation, however it does need to be closed out. Feel free to contact me by phone or email and we can discuss further.
