HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0271 - Street Vacations of 57th Place, South 162nd and 57th Avenue ORDINANCE NO. 271 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA VACATING A CERTAIN PORTION OF 57th PLACE SOUTH, SOUTH 162nd STREET, AND 57th AVENUE SOUTH IN THE TOWN OF TUKWILA. WHEREAS, on February 16, 1959, a petition was filed with the Town Council of the Town of Tukwila for the vacation of a certain portion of 57th Place South, South 162nd Street, and 57th Avenue South in the Town of and WHEREAS, pursuant to action of said Council and under the authority of Resolution No. 114 thereof, due notice of the hearing on said petition was published as required by law; and WHEREAS, hearing on said petition was held on March 19, 1959, and no objection was made to the vacation 6f the above described street; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TUKWILA: SECTION 1: All those portions of 57th Avenue South (lying westerly of the Northerly extension of the Easterly margin of 57th Place South) and of 57th Place South and of South 162nd Street which lie Southerly of the Easterly extension of a line which is 68' South of and parallel to the North line of Tract 29 of Brookvale Garden Tracts as per Plat recorded in Volume 10 of plats on page 47, records of ring Caunty, and Northerly of the Northerly extension of the Easterly margin of 56th Avenue South, all within Sections 26 and 23, Township 23 North, Range 4 E.W.N., be and the same hereby is vacated. SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall be in effect five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. PASSED this 26th day of March, 1959. Lois T.
