delivers free meals, snacks, activity kits and
essentials
Our Parks & Recreation Youth and Teen staff will be
rolling around Tukwila this October through
December to deliver FREE meals, recreation activity
kits, snacks, and other essentials. Masks and social
distancing are required when visiting a program site,
sanitizer is provided, and those that are ill or have
household members that are ill are asked not to visit
a site. See details below.

We were sad not to have a grand opening for the new Fire Station 51 when it
went into service last month and hope the public will get a chance to visit as
soon as it is safe. Until then, please enjoy this virtual tour of the new station.

The City of Tukwila is assisted in its operations in several areas by the
volunteers who serve on our Boards, Commissions and Committees. These
advisory bodies provide guidance to decision -makers and represent the
diverse viewpoints of the community, bringing public participation into
government. Volunteers serve a vital function by offering their time and
expertise as members.
The following advisory bodies have terms ending this year:
• Arts Commission
• Equity and Social Justice Commission
• Human Services Advisory Board
• Landmark Commission
• Library Advisory Board
• Park Commission
If you are interested in serving on one of these advisory bodies, please submit
a completed Boards, Commissions and Committees Application for
Appointment to the Mayor's Office by 5:OOpm on November 16, 2020. A link to
the application and additional information about all of the City's the boards,
