All correction requests from each department must be addressed at the same time and reflected on your drawings. I have enclosed comments from the following departments: BUILDING DEPARTMENT: Allen Johannessen at 206-433-7163 if you have questions regarding these comments. • (BUILDING REVIEW NOTES) 1. The revised plan still needs some clarification. Please provide dimensions of the net interior walls after drywall for the bedroom, closets, and hallway. Specify size of wall studs. The hallway from the exterior door shows 2'10". Minimum clear width of a hall shall be 36". The plan shows a narrow opening to the kitchen. Specify the dimensions of that opening. Minimum opening size shall be 32". Specify the sizes of all new openings and doors. 2. The bedroom shows a boiler adjacent to the closet. Those two spaces did not show location of an access door. The bedroom closet shall show the wall size and location of the door with size of the door specified. Provide clear space dimensions for those spaces. 3. The boiler space shall specify size of that space with the size of opening. Please clarify if a boiler or water heater. Show the size of the boiler. A boiler shall have its own space and not be used as a closet. The size of the access door shall be sized to be able to provide maintenance access and shall be sized such that removal and replacement of the boiler shall not require removal of door or framing. 4. All spaces shall be sized to meet the minimum clear dimensions required for those spaces the sizing shall include wall studs and drywall thickness. 5. Notes have been provided for Smoke and CO alarms. Show a symbol of each, one smoke within close vicinity of the bedroom, the CO and smoke alarms outside in close vicinity of the bedroom door. Note: Contingent on response to these corrections, further plan review may request for additional corrections. Please address the comments above in an itemized format with applicable revised plans, specifications, and/or other documentation. Provide dimensions of the room, closet, location of the window, location of the door and other elements within the vicinity of the bedroom. 5. An authorized representative of the United States government, the state of Washington, or any incorporated city, town, county, township, irrigation district, reclamation district, or other municipal or political corporation or subdivision of this state; 2. An owner* who performs maintenance, repair, and alteration work in or upon his or her own properties, or who uses his or her own employees to do such work; 14. A licensed architect or civil or professional engineer acting solely in his or her professional capacity, an electrician certified under the laws of the state of Washington, or a plumber certified under the laws of the state of Washington or licensed by a political subdivision of the state of Washington while operating within the boundaries of such political subdivision. The exemption provided in this subsection is applicable only when the person certified is operating within the scope of his or her certification; 15. Any person who engages in the activities herein regulated as an employee of a registered contractor with wages as his or her sole compensation or as an employee with wages as his or her sole compensation; 16. Contractors on highway projects who have been prequalified as required by RCW 47.28.070, with the department of transportation to perform highway construction, reconstruction, or maintenance work; 17. A mobile/manufactured home dealer or manufacturer who subcontracts the installation, set-up, or repair work to actively registered contractors. This exemption only applies to the installation, set-up, or repair of the mobile/manufactured homes that were manufactured or sold by the mobile/manufactured home dealer or manufacturer; 18.
