The existing roof structure consists of wood joists bearing on wood beams. These support a plywood deck, insulation and a roof membrane. The joists are spaced at approximately 2 ft. on center and span approximately 18'-0" between supports. 4x12 beams support each side of the rooftop units. Our analysis is based on the equipment information you provided and field measurements. Units RTU -1, RTU -2 and RTU -3: • Existing units are York DAUS-T090 7.5 Ton units weighing approximately 1,310 lbs. each. • Proposed units are York ZFO90 7.5 Ton units weighing 1,230 lbs. each, including curb adapter. • Units will be mounted in the same location as existing equipment. York Predator units are convertible single packages with a common footprint cabinet and common roof curb for all 6-1/2 through 12- 1/2 ton models. All units have two compressors with independent R -410A refrigeration circuits to provide 2 stages of cooling. The units were designed for light commercial applications and can be easily installed on a roof curb, slab, or frame. All units are self-contained and assembled on rigid full perimeter base rails allowing for 3 -way forklift access and overhead rigging.
