2022 application for City of Opportunity
Scholarship is now available

Since 2014, the City of Tukwila has offered a
scholarship program for high school students living
• Q;Si_';;1R, in Tukwila. Its purpose: to help deserving students
continue their education beyond high school by
providing financial assistance and opportunity. We
are currently accepting
applications from those enrolled for undergraduate
study in community colleges, colleges, trade schools
and universities.
Selection criteria include residency in Tukwila,
academic accomplishments, community service,
references, financial need, and personal essay. To

The deadline to submit scholarship applications
is March 31, 2022. For more information, contact

Free tax preparation and filing help available with United Way
United Way of King County s.i irc_e M.__ffire psir JLQnn Ci will run
from Wednesday, February 2 to Thursday, April 21. Their IRS -certified
volunteers will be available virtually and in person at multiple locations across
King County to offeryou free tax preparation assistance.
For your safety, all in -person tax preparers will be fully vaccinated and masked.
All taxpayers who need assistance must show proof of vaccination and be
masked at all times during any in -person meetings Ii V_c_a e aac h llne If=AQ_for
information that you are required to provide.

available at the Tukwila Library
Need a COVID-19 vaccine or booster shot? Visit a vaccine clinic at the Tukwila
Library in February and March. The vaccine is free and available regardless of
insurance, citizenship or immigration status. More info available
