CALL TO ORDER: Committee Chair Ekberg called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.

II. BUSINESS AGENDA
A. Grant Auulication: PSRC Interurban Avenue South South 143x' Street Fort Dent Wav)
Staff is seeking Committee approval to submit an application to the Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC)
for regional competition for Surface Transportation Program (STP) federal finds in the amount of $5
million for the construction phase of Interurban Avenue South between South 143r`' and Fort Dent Way.
Staff is seeking Committee approval for grant submission as required by per CIP Program Policy No. 12 on
page III of the 2012 -17 Financial Planning Model and Capital Improvement Plan. The project total is
estimated to be $11.1 million, if successful, the grant requires a minimum local match of 13.5% or
$675,000. Depending on the receipt of additional grants finds, the City would most likely bond or utilize
and inter -fund loan for the remaining amount of project funding including the grant match. Staff gave a brief
presentation of the project's PowerPoint that will be shown at SCATBd and Regional Program Evaluation
Committee later this week. UNANIMOUS APPROVAL. SUBMIT GRANT APPLICATION.
