Ideas for the next event included outreach to diverse communities, <br />inviting food trucks, having ushers, and moving resource tables to avoid overcrowding <br />the hallway. <br />• Public Safety Update — Chief Eric Drever <br />Commissioners received information from Chief Drever and had an opportunity to ask <br />questions. The Chief discussed TPD's obligations as it pertains to assisting Immigration & <br />Customs Enforcement (ICE) as well as state and local laws that set parameters on the <br />relationship between local law enforcement and ICE. He emphasized the importance of <br />community members being able to call TPD for assistance without fear regardless of <br />immigration status. The Chief assured that to his knowledge, the regional ICE director <br />does not plan to initiate raids in spaces such as schools due to the danger of such <br />activities.
