MOVE TO accept contract as complete and authorize the execution of
closeout documents including insurance and performance bond
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Northwest Cascade Inc. completed the Andover Park West and 58th Avenue S Sewer Project and City
Council action is required to accept contract as complete and authorize the Mayor to sign contract
closeout documents. Staff is requesting this item be moved from Committee to the February 2 Regular
Meeting Consent Agenda.
DISCUSSION
The notice to proceed for contract 23-115 with Northwest Cascade Inc. was issued on August 28,
2023, for the Andover Park W (APW) and 58th Ave S Sewer Repair project. The final project scope
included 45 linear feet of 8-Inch sewer repair on 58th Ave and installation of a manhole on Andover
Park W to improve maintenance access. Construction was deemed Physically Complete on November
6, 2023, and no formal change orders were executed.

2. MISCELLANEOUS
Councilmember Kruller brought up three items:
• Inquired about an area of questionable jurisdiction causing issues for first
responders. Staff recommended advising King County's Local Services Department.
Suggested an after -action report to Council regarding the December flooding event
and preparation for future events.
Requested information about the Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program and
mentioned ongoing safety concerns around Cascade View Elementary.
