CaII to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:05PM by Robin Boland 2. Roll Call a. Board Members: • Present: Cynthia Chesak Gerie Ventura, Robin Boland, Steve Miller (arrived 6:25pm) • Online: Crystal Lyons • Absent: Marie Parrish b. Staff: • City of Tukwila Staff: John Dunn, Recreation Superintendent • King County Library System Staff: Steven Bailey, Library Services Manager • c. Public: • None 3. Land Acknowledgement — Robin Boland read the land acknowledgement: "The City of Tukwila is located on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish people. Agenda: Cynthia Chesak motioned to approve the agenda. Robin Boland seconded the motion to approve the agenda; all were in favor. b. Minutes: Cynthia Chesak motioned to approve the minutes. Unfinished Business a. None 7. New Business a. Transfer of Chair position for 2026- Due to personal events, Marie Parrish is unable to take on the roll of Chair for 2026. After discussion, Gerie Ventura will be the Chair and Crystal Lyons will be the Vice Chair. Cynthia made a motion to vote as such. Robin Boland seconded the motion to have Gerie as Chair and Crystal as Vice Chair. b. Topics/guests for future meetings — (Steve Miller arrived during this discussion) After some discussion by the board, potential topics for future meetings included creating a 2025 year in review report, revieing the board goals, filling student and open board positions. Potential guest speakers included the Westfield Mall Librarian, the Tukwila Library Operations Manager and librarians. 8. Staff Reports a. KCLS: Staff provided updates on the upcoming activities at the library. b. City of Tukwila: John Dunn provided an update on City and Parks and Recreation events, programs and other information. 9.
